Our priorities and drivers have never been more apparent as we start to make our way towards a new normal in 2022. Having had downtime over the last two years, we've been able to reflect on why we started Buckle My Shoe and the core values that we've built our company on.
We have spent many hours making sure that every pair of shoes and all clothing we stock tick all the right boxes: sustainable, ethical, organic, non-toxic, non-slip, podiatrist and paediatrician approved, natural fibres and local designers.
All of the products that we stock are kid-tested and parent-approved. Our kids are a big part of why this business was created, and they continue to play a role in helping us choose the products that we put on our shelves.
Supporting local plays a significant role in how we choose our stockists. Knowing that manufacturing standards and decent working conditions are guaranteed gives us peace of mind, and supporting fellow small businesses props up the economy and enables them to thrive.
We are passionate about making good quality, supportive shoes and clothes accessible to all kids of all abilities. We only stock items from suppliers which are original in design and that create footwear endorsed by paediatricians and podiatrists to support growing feet.
At Buckle My Shoe, we deal directly with the designer to ensure that standards are being met. All items are made using non-toxic fabric and colouring treatments, and there's no overstretching of fabric at the cutting stage. Ensuring that we're all on the same page regarding quality and durability is very important to us. We want to give our customers an absolute satisfaction and quality guarantee.
We aim to open the door for kids to start thinking about where their clothes and shoes come from and how they’re made. Not just endorsing consumerism, but actually taking the time to teach them about value for money.
Buckle My Shoe is here to remind parents of the importance of teaching their children to appreciate quality from a really young age.
